Sentinel is a Wave Technologies' concept, provisional patent protected, for an inexpensive, easily deployable, long endurance aircraft with a significant payload capacity that can be used as either a UAV or as a piloted aircraft depending on the mission and area of operations.

Wave Tech is developing the Sentinel prototype as an Army research and development initiative.

The Sentinel prototype will carry a 600 pound payload and have a flight endurance of up to 40 hours as a UAV at altitudes up to 30,000 feet. It can take off and land on a 1,500 foot unimproved runway and can be towed in its trailer by a standard small pickup truck on a two lane road and launched within one hour.

The Sentinel OPA provides a low cost, high endurance capability that can perform big surveillance and reconnaissance missions at a small price.
